Terms and conditions

Definitions

The Supplier – Carla Harris Glass or any authorised trading entity.

The Hirer – The person or persons who made the booking or ANY representative of “The Hirer”

 

THE HIRER SHALL:-

Sign and return the confirmation of hire on payment of deposit to secure the booking. No order is deemed a confirmed booking until you have received an order confirmation from Carla Harris Glass.

On signing confirmation of hire, the Hirer agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions below.

Lilies are £55 each to hire and £120 each to buy. 5 Petal flowers are £50 each to hire and £60 to buy.  Please note that we have a minimum order of 10 flowers. You can add additional flowers to the minimum order in pairs. We can engrave and  personalise your flower for £5 each. Please see website for other flowers available.

We can also offer a bespoke service creating flowers in the colors of your choice. Please email for a quote.

The prices listed are for one days hire which covers 1 day (e.g. delivery, your event, collection). Longer hire periods can be quoted for.

 

Delivery, set up and collection:

On all orders subject to drive distance and minimum order value

60-120 Miles £ 100 Set up/collection fee = 45p per mile over 30 miles

Deliveries and Collections are quoted to ‘ground floor only’ (unless Carla Harris Glass agrees otherwise). Where delivery entails our staff taking goods to specific rooms or having to reassemble equipment after use and extra time is involved, additional charges will be made.

Please check your order carefully on delivery and sign the delivery note to confirm that all is in order. We cannot accept any faults or discrepancies notified after items have been signed for.

The Hirer is responsible for checking goods on delivery and must notify Carla Harris Glass of any shortfalls or damages immediately.

Hirers should ensure that they or their representatives are at the delivery address. Wasted journeys may be charged for.

 

Payment

A 50% deposit of the total fee secures your order.

Should your order be place 1 month or less prior to your event then the full invoice balance is due immediately.

The outstanding balance is due one month prior to your event date.

 

Method of Payment & Deposits

For convenience, we can accept PayPal, payment by BACS.  Cheques are also accepted but at least seven days in advance of the due payment date to allow for clearance of the cheque.

Our stocks, whilst comprehensive, can be exhausted a peak times. We work strictly on a first come – first served basis – so please book early

Carla Harris Glass reserves the right to revise hire rates, terms of hire and product specifications without prior notice.

Minimum order quantity is 10 flowers.

Battery operated lights are available at £1.50 each.

 

Late payments

An administration fee of £10 per late payment reminder will be added to your account.

Late payment reminders are sent on a WEEKLY basis

We reserve the right to charge interest on outstanding accounts at the rate of 5% interest per month.

 

Damage

A damage deposit of the greater of £240 or 10% of your order value is required by separate payment, which will be returned once the order has been collected and checked for damage.

All damages or losses must be paid for at full retail cost which is calculated at £120 each.

Goods are the responsibility of the Hirer from the time they are either collected or delivered to the time that they are returned or collected,

Should damage or loss be of a greater value than your damage deposit then we will issue you with an invoice for this damage or loss, this invoice will require immediate settlement. Should this invoice go unpaid for a period greater than 7 days then we will pass this debt to an external debt recovery service.

In the event of items being broken these must be returned to Carla Harris Glass. Missing items (which have not been returned broken) will be charged at the full retail price.

 

Cancelling your order

With the exception of your damage deposit, all monies paid to us are non-refundable. If you cancel your event 28 days prior to your event date then you will be charged the full outstanding balance.

Cancellation must be made in writing by letter or email and any outstanding payment settled.

 

Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges will be charged if a confirmed order is cancelled or substantially changed.

Custom made products can only be cancelled from your order up to 4 months prior to your event. After this date cancelled product must be paid for in full.

 

Responsibility

All goods are the responsibility of the Hirer once the Supplier has handed over the goods. The Hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the goods from time of delivery until they are collected by the Company’s employees. Deliveries left at premises unattended are left at the Hirer’s risk.

Goods are deemed as being handed over once they have been set up or delivered by the Supplier.

All goods will remain the responsibility of the Hirer until they have been collected by the Supplier.

 

Ownership of goods

All goods remain the property of Carla Harris Glass unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The Hirer must immediately on request advise the owner of the whereabouts of the goods.

 

Our right to change specification

Carla Harris Glass reserve the right to change specification and or design of non bespoke items at any time without consent. We reserve the right to substitute articles of a similar or superior quality.

 

Liability

In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil our obligations to you due to adverse weather conditions (such as snow) and other factors outside of our control a full refund of any monies paid (deposit) will be given.

No liability shall attach to either party which is unable to perform its obligations in the event of “force majeure”

In the event of a circumstance of force majeure which relieves the parties from the performance of its obligations, both parties shall nevertheless best endeavour to perform its obligations as soon as is practicable and to the best of their ability.

Hirers should be aware that glass is delicate & sharp if broken and therefore no responsibility can be taken for any injury arising from the goods unless it can be shown to have resulted from negligence on the part of Carla Harris Glass.

Unless the equipment or goods are faulty causing injury to person’s property, we are not liable for any cause of injury or damage caused by use of goods and equipment hired.

The Hirer undertakes full responsibility for the safety of the equipment on hire, and will accept full responsibility for the loss or damage of said equipment, howsoever caused.

The Hirer undertakes not to interfere with or allow any other person to interfere with the goods on hire without the express permission of the owner and shall indemnify the owner against any claims, loss or damage suffered by any party (including any third party) as a result or in consequence of any interfere.

Carla Harris Glass reserves the right to cancel this agreement or any verbal agreement relating to this hire with due notice.
